Instagram and Facebook Stories
Schedule a photo or video as a Story, and which fields a Story leaves out.
Coolposts schedules Instagram Stories and Facebook Page Stories like any other post. A Story is a full-screen photo or video that shows for 24 hours.
Schedule a Story
- In the Calendar, press New post.
- Under Post to, choose your Instagram account, your Facebook Page or both. Untick the other networks: only these two take Stories.
- Turn on Share as a Story. It appears under the accounts as soon as you choose Instagram or Facebook.
- Under Media, add a single photo or a single video. If you design it in Adobe Express from Add, it opens at Story size (1080 × 1920).
- Check the preview on the right and press Schedule or Publish now.
In the calendar, Stories carry the label story next to the time.
What a Story takes
- One photo or one video. Carousels and text-only posts aren't accepted.
- Videos must be 3 to 60 seconds long.
- The preview shows it full screen, upright, as it will look on the network.
What it leaves out
When you turn the Story on, the editor hides the fields that aren't used:
- The text. If you had already written it, it stays saved in Coolposts but isn't published.
- The first comment, collaborators and the video cover.
- Track links and Bio pages: the Story isn't added to your bio pages.
If something doesn't fit (two files, a video that's too long, another network ticked), the editor tells you in red and won't let you schedule until you fix it.
Statistics
Instagram only gives a Story's numbers while it's up, so Coolposts reads them several times during those 24 hours and keeps them. You see them on the post and in Analytics.
