First comment and options per network

One post can go to several networks, and each network has its own rules. In the editor you can write a different text for one network, add a first comment and choose the options TikTok and YouTube ask for.

A different text for one network

1. Under Text you see each account with the characters used and that network's maximum. If you go over, the number turns red.
2. Press customize next to the account. Text for that network appears, with a copy of the main text.
3. Edit it. To go back to the main text, press use main text.

First comment and collaborators

• First comment: for Instagram and Facebook. Coolposts posts it as a comment right after the post. It's a good place for hashtags. If the comment fails, the post stays published and you'll see a note on it.
• Collaborators: Instagram only. Type up to 5 usernames; each one gets an invite.

Neither is used in Stories.

TikTok

TikTok only takes video, at least 3 seconds long. Its accounts aren't ticked in Post to by default: tick them yourself.

• With the account connected in Inbox mode, the video lands in your TikTok drafts so you can add a sound and publish it from the app.
• With Direct mode, a TikTok section appears. Choose Who can see this video and, if you like, tick Comment, Duet or Stitch (the ones turned off in your TikTok settings are greyed out). If the video promotes something, turn on Disclose video content and choose Your brand, Branded content or both. TikTok asks for these options on every video, so you can't schedule until you've chosen them.

YouTube

Video only. The first line of the text is the title (up to 100 characters; the rest is cut) and the whole text is the description. Vertical videos up to 3 minutes are published as Shorts. Videos over 15 minutes need a verified channel.

X and Bluesky

• X: 280 characters, and every link counts as 23. It shows up to 4 photos. One-click X is part of the paid plans, with a number of posts a month: 30 on Starter, 100 on Pro and 300 on Custom. Accounts connected with your own developer keys don't count.
• Bluesky: 300 characters. It shows up to 4 photos.
