Autolists

Publish your templates in turn at fixed times each week, without scheduling them one by one.

An autolist publishes your templates in turn at the times you pick each week. It's for content that doesn't go out of date: tips, frequent questions, reminders of your services. You set it up once and the calendar fills itself.

Create an autolist

First you need at least one template in the library (see Content library).

  1. In the Calendar, press Library and open the Autolists tab.
  2. Press New autolist.
  3. Give it a Name.
  4. Under Post to, choose the accounts. It can be any of the brand's accounts that take posts. TikTok accounts aren't ticked by default.
  5. Under Times each week, choose the day and time of each slot. Press Add a time to add more, or the × to remove one.
  6. Under Templates, in order, tick the templates. They go out in the order you tick them; the number on the right shows it.
  7. If you'd rather they're picked at random, turn on Shuffle instead of going in order.
  8. Press Create.

How the slots fill

  • When you create it, Coolposts fills the slots of the next 7 days with scheduled posts. After that it keeps filling them so there's always a week ahead.
  • Each slot gets one template. In order, after the last one it starts again from the first.
  • They're ordinary posts: you see them in the calendar and can edit, move or delete them one by one.
  • If the template has its own text for an account, that text is used.
  • If a post can't be scheduled (it doesn't fit a network's rules, none of its accounts is connected any more, the brand reached its daily limit, or the Free plan has used up the month's posts), it's left as a draft and you get a message in Notifications.

TikTok asks you to choose who can see each video, so autolist posts for a TikTok account in direct mode stay drafts and we let you know. Open them, choose who can see them and schedule them.

Pause, edit or delete

In the Autolists tab you see each list with its templates, its times, the Next slot and how many posts it has made.

  • Use the switch to pause or resume it. Pausing moves the posts it had lined up for the coming days to Deleted posts, where you can restore them. Resuming fills the slots again from then on.
  • Click the name to edit it. Slots already filled keep their posts.
  • To delete it, open it, press Delete and confirm. Posts it already made stay in the calendar.
