Forms and conversions
Collect leads with a form on your bio page and measure the sign-ups and sales your links bring.
A form on your bio page collects the name and email of people who want to get in touch. With conversion tracking, you also see which links bring sign-ups and sales to your website.
Add a form
- Open your page in Bio page and go to the Buttons tab.
- Press Add form.
- Write a title, if you want one, and the Button text.
- Under Fields, choose whether Phone and Message are off, optional or required. Name and email are always asked.
- In Consent text, write the text of the box people must tick to send. If you leave it empty, there's no box. In Your privacy policy you can add the link to yours.
- In After sending, write what people see once they've sent it.
- Press Save.
A page holds up to 5 forms. The preview in the editor doesn't send anything.
See your leads
What people send shows in the page's Leads tab, newest first, with where the person came from and whether they ticked the box. You can Export CSV or delete a lead for good, for example when someone asks you to erase their data.
Each lead is also emailed, and replying to the email answers that person. It goes to the team members who see that brand and have New contacts from your forms turned on in Personal information.
The Free plan keeps 50 leads a month across all your pages. Once that's full, forms don't take replies until the next month. Paid plans have no limit.
Track conversions
On paid plans, your website can tell Coolposts when someone who came from one of your links signs up or buys.
- In Bio page, open the Short links tab and, under Conversions, turn on Track conversions.
- Press Show the setup and copy the script into every page of your website. It remembers the visitor for 30 days.
- Where someone signs up or pays, call
coolposts.convert(29.90). The value is optional.
While it's on, your links arrive at your website with ?cp_click=…. If you'd rather report from your server or a form tool, call the address shown in the setup with that value and the amount. Each click counts as one conversion at most.
Conversions and their value show in Stats, in total and per link. More about links in Short links and tracked links.
